Sensitive information
Captain Vinny does not seek to intrude on the personal lives of pirates and mermaids. He primarily watches over their safety and makes sure no crew member is a robot, a ghost, or a scammer. Some information may be considered sensitive and is subject to explicit, clear, and informed consent. This information is collected only with the pirate's or mermaid's consent.
Consent
By using the Site and creating an account, the pirate or mermaid consents to the collection, use, and disclosure of their personal information in accordance with this policy. Consent may be withdrawn at any time, subject to legal and contractual obligations.

Security of information
We apply reasonable security measures to protect personal information, including encryption of sensitive data, access control, monitoring and prevention of unauthorized access, profile moderation (censorship of inappropriate photos and videos), and privacy incident management procedures.
Privacy incidents
In the event of a privacy incident presenting a serious risk of harm, the Site will notify the Commission d'accès à l'information du Québec (CAI), notify the pirates or mermaids concerned, and keep an incident register as required by Law 25.
